With European Union support, the Czech Republic has embarked on a major clustering programme to upgrade the ability of SMEs as well as large enterprises to compete through innovation and collaboration. Cluster Navigators have trained all the Czech cluster facilitators; led a series of introductory workshops in each region; led briefings with Ministries and Czech universities, and returned to participate at national conferences and engage in the further training of the local facilitators.
